PUCO to hold energy choice workshop
MILLERSBURG — A representative from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio will be in the village April 17 to provide information about energy choices. The event will take place 4-6:30 p.m. at the Holmes County District Public Library, 3102 Glen Drive.
Zachary Frymier, from the PUCO’s Office of Retail Competition, will conduct a workshop to explain rights in choosing an electric or natural gas supplier. Energy choice in Ohio allows consumers to have greater control over electric and natural gas options and may result in consumer savings.
Topics will include what is energy choice (who are these suppliers), what governmental aggregation means, what to consider when shopping for an electric or natural gas generation supplier, how to use the free tools available through the PUCO, including the consumer call center, and how to switch electric or natural gas generation suppliers.
Frymier will be available to answer questions about Ohio’s emerging energy market. Attendees are encouraged to take copies of their electric or natural gas bills.
