Oct. 13, 2015, Washington, DC – The American Coalition of Competitive Energy Suppliers (“ACCES”), the nation’s leading supplier-led organization dedicated to consumer education on energy choice, recently welcomed its newest member, competitive energy supplier WGL Energy Services.

“ACCES fills a unique role in the industry as the only supplier-led consumer education organization dedicated to empowering consumers with the knowledge to make the decision that best fits their energy needs and preferences. A more informed consumer base improves the quality of the marketplace,” said Bernice K. McIntyre, WGL Energy’s Program Director of Regulatory Strategy.

WGL Energy now supports the effort alongside current members Great Eastern Energy, IGS Energy, Infinite Energy, Santanna Energy Services, SouthStar Energy, and U.S. Gas & Electric.

“We continue to hear from consumers, policy makers, and journalists about the importance of having an informed consumer. This is why like-minded suppliers have joined together to create a unified and knowledgeable voice, providing information about the benefits of competition,” said Frank Caliva, spokesperson for ACCES.
