On Thursday, June 20, ACCES spokesman Michael Meath moderated a panel discussion on best practices for consumer protection at a competitive energy supplier workshop organized by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, Harrisburg.
The discussion focused on ways suppliers can make sure their sales and marketing efforts are focused on providing real value to consumers rather than being a nuisance or frustration. “Most competitive energy suppliers take compliance with local, state, and federal rules on marketing very seriously,” said Meath. “The panel’s goal was to help make sure that suppliers in Pennsylvania maintain their high standards for consumer protection.”
Additionally, Frank Caliva, director of ACCES’s Washington, D.C. office, gave an overview presentation on the American Coalition of Competitive Energy Suppliers, including showing some of ACCES’s latest videos.
