ACCES spokesperson Michael Meath was a guest on WNNJ’s Issues and Ideas Show on September 29, 2017. WNNJ is an AM/FM radio station broadcasting throughout northeastern New Jersey. On October 4, 2017, Meath was a guest on WFIN’s Good Mornings in Findlay, Ohio.

Meath discussed the findings from ACCES’ Power of Choice: Consumer Preferences on Energy Choice in Ohio and Florida. Meath explained how the results that found that consumers overwhelming value choice in all consumer-focused areas can be applied to energy decisions on a national stage. Meath explained the different elements to consider when consumers are shopping for energy including product options, price savings, green energy offerings, and added-value products. Meath introduced the information available on the ACCES website such as how choice works, the myths that exists, what one should be looking for in a contract, and other resources.  Tom Hinchey, host of Issues and Ideas, noted that the Power of Choice indicates consumers want these energy options and while the switching process may not be seamless, its worth the effort for most customers.
