November 23, 2015, Washington, DC – The American Coalition of Competitive Energy Suppliers (“ACCES”), the nation’s leading supplier-led organization dedicated to consumer education on energy choice, recently held its annual meeting in Washington, DC.

During the meeting, outreach and campaign measures for 2016 were adopted. Areas of focus include expanded education consumer outreach across deregulated markets, radio campaign initiatives, and new educational content for consumer and reporter use. In addition, ACCES is further committed to expanding its support to state public utility commissions (PUCs), and by developing and sharing specific consumer education resources in partnership with the PUCs, consumer advocates, utilities, and other suppliers.

“Commission staffs have been doing a noteworthy job over the years on the education front, and while we understand that resources and time are already stretched very thin, we believe the American Coalition of Competitive Energy Suppliers can significantly complement their existing consumer education efforts,” said Frank Caliva, spokesperson for ACCES.

The organization plans to further strengthen its messaging and place greater emphasis on new web content and resources in the areas of renewable energy, distributed generation, and “valued added” services for consumers.
