MDPSC issued notice (1/31/17), revising the scope of the proceeding to include rate design; electric vehicles; competitive markets and customer choice; the interconnection process; energy storage; and distribution system planning.

The notice includes a statement of principles articulated by the MDPSC, including, most importantly, a re-affirmation that “Competitive markets are an integral part of Maryland’s electricity landscape that seek to promote innovation, reduce costs, and increase customers’ choices.”
